Meet Alison
I’m Alison Morris Roslyn, Founder & CEO of Francey Not Fancy, and a Level 3 Sommelier, certified by the National Wine School. I also have certificates in French Wines from Cornell University and in Oenology from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. After college, I moved to Paris where I perfected the French slang my grandfather taught me as a kid. (My family is half French. Grams was from Marseille, Gramps was from Corsica.) I go back to France regularly to eat, drink, explore, and perplex the French with my weird accent. While I spend most of my time studying, drinking, and consulting on wines from France, I have an appreciation for (nearly) all great grapes, and think the best wines are those you enjoy with awesome people.
