Au Revoir Olympiques
I’m already missing the Paris Olympics in all sorts of ways.
I loved the athletes’ incredible stories, both joyful and heartbreaking:
Eliud Kipchoge waiting for the very last marathon runner to pass before dropping out…the true distance running GOAT. What a privilege it’s been to watch him break barriers (2:00?!) we never thought possible with such positivity and humility…
Simone Biles and the entire women’s gymnastics team showing the world what they can do…
Sha’Carri Richardson, reminding us that she’s not back, but BETTER…
The French soccer team celebrating their silver medal with so much dancing and joy…
USA basketball, and swimming, and soccer—WHAT STARS.
ALL OF THEM.
I also loved seeing Paris—my beautiful second home—interwoven in all of the Olympic events…the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Concorde and the Stade de France, lit up for all the world to see.
If I could get on a plane to Paris tomorrow, I would. That’s actually a lie…I’d wait a few weeks. I’m a true September to Spring Parisian. So, in the meantime, I’m lathering on some of my favorite French products and soaking up the smells that remind me of the City of Light.
You can too, if you’re in need of a little French fabulousness…
There are terrific wine & food tools and beautiful French beauty products in my ShopMy storefront. I get a little commission if you buy them through my store, which lets me do things like share my website and weekly newsletter with you absolutely free. Here’s the link.
So, happy shopping.
🇫🇷 See you soon, Paris.
🇺🇸 And Chin to LA 2028!!!!
