Same, Same, But Different
Wölffer Estate launched their Summer in a Bottle wine a decade ago with one fabulously floral bottle. Now they have four SIBs: three from Long Island, one made in France. Two are whites; two are rosés. They can get confusing. Here’s how to tell them apart:
1️⃣ Summer in a Bottle White 🌻
The OG white blend. Black and white checkered cap.
2️⃣ Summer in a Bottle Long Island Sauvignon Blanc 2023 🌻
Brand new this summer: 97% Sauvignon Blanc with a splash of Pinot Blanc (3%). This isn’t a very “green” tasting Sauvignon Blanc. It suits most white wine drinkers. Yellow and green checkered cap.
3️⃣ Summer in a Bottle Long Island Rosé 2023 🌸
The original SIB, made right here on Long Island.
Black and white checkered cap.
4️⃣ Summer in a Bottle Côtes de Provence Rosé 2023 🌸
The only French wine in the lineup, which clearly makes it my favorite. This rosé is a bit more dry and elegant. Pink and blue checkered cap.
