Sobe(e)r?

You may have seen me mention 432 times last week that I went to the Foo Fighters at Citi Field, got rained out halfway through, and went back again for the second show.

Lesson I have learned over time: if you can afford to get tickets to see your favorite band more than once when they come to town, do it. You will never be sorry.

Lesson I just learned this week: if you need to drive 6 hours round trip to see your favorite band, for the second time in a week, Montauk Brewing Company’s N.A. IPA is a lovely option for your tailgate. Refreshing, with citrusy hops and a flavor that reminded me of a twisted tea, this was a great way to enjoy ourselves without burning out in the heat and struggling to stay awake. It also guaranteed that one of us could safely drive home.

I’m not here to preach about sobriety, but to quote the Foo Fighters, “there are times that I need someone.” And sometimes, that someone needs to be alcohol free. 10/10 recommend if you want the feeling of enjoying a cold beer on a hot day, but you don’t want the alcohol.
